Five Motorcyle Deaths In Single County Highlight Dangers

Senior police offers in North Yorkshire have issued desperate warnings for motorcyclists to take extra care in light of a spate of recent deaths on the roads. Over a two week period there have been five motorcycle fatalities on the region’s roads.

Five Motorcycle Deaths Within Two Weeks

Three of these were on the 25th August when in unrelated incidents a couple from Bradford were killed when their bike collided with a car in Tadcaster and a 73 year old man died when his bike hit a trailer near Austwick in the Yorkshire Dales.

Another rider was killed on the York ring road on 30th August when his machine hit an Audi and a week ago today a fifth person hit a 4×4 between Swinithwaite and Aysgarth.
